Ferro Beat sequencer

Above is a tutorial on how to make your own ferrofluid and below is a beat sequencer which uses ball bearings and arduino technology. I'm thinking about combining it with the ferrofluid... some how. Not really sure how I would go about it but it probably would only require lamping in some electromagnets and hoping for the best

Ferrofluids

Ferrofluids are basically magnetic liquids and I'm in love with this stuff, and I think I'm gonna have to include it in my thesis somehow. I'm thinking I might forego the whole Ganzfeld business and replace it with some electro magnets and ferrofluids and get the Electromagnets to be effected by brain waves via the EEG. Sounds like it could be a health and safety nightmare and i'll have to convince the Ethics crowd that it's perfectly safe. I'll post instructions on making your own ferrofluids up here next. It's pretty, cheap and easy

Electroencephalography

Electroencephalography (EEG) is the recording of electricall activity along the scalp produced by the firing of neurons within the brain. In clinical contexts, EEG refers to the recording of the brain's spontaneous electrical activity over a short period of time, usually 20–40 minutes, as recorded from multiple electrodes placed on the scalp.

I hope to be making my own of these devices using the open source EEG project.

Hopefully I won't fry anyones brain trying to make this thing. If it all goes the way of the pear, my back up plan involves measuring skin conductance which is a hell of a lot easier to do then the above. I'll make a post about it soon enough
